If you like movies like Monster Squad, you'll probably enjoy this film. Upset about moving from the big city to a small town, young Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets his beautiful neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush). The teen is surprised to learn that Hannah's mysterious father is R.L. Stine (Jack Black), the famous author of the best-selling "Goosebumps" series. When Zach accidentally unleashes the monsters from the fantastic tales, it's up to Stine, his daughter and Cooper to return the beasts back to the books where they belong. |

One room. One lock. One hour. The Necronomicast crew tried out The Escape Omaha in an effort to show how our superior observation skills and puzzle solving abilities can make short work of this little game. We didn't make it out in time. In this episode, we give our reactions to our experience at The Escape Omaha. A big thanks to The Escape Omaha for inviting us out. It was a truly fun experience and we are planning to go back to record an episode of us as we try to escape another room. For those not familiar, your group is locked in a room together. You have one hour to use the clues in the room to solve the puzzle and get the code for the door. It's harder than you think and time flies. Check out the link below to book your room. |

Welcome to our first installment of DARK SIDE OF THE MOVIE! Where our intrepid hosts Wayne, Doug, Brian, and Zip get together, drink some beers, and comment on an awful horror movie. Best part is, you can join us in the fun! Remember when people would watch Wizard of OZ and play Dark Side of the Moon together and get the synch up experience? Well, this podcast is similar to that. It’s also a lot of armchair-Director commentary, random musings, low-ball attempts at humor, and us poking fun at everything. Is it funny? You’ll have to be the judge on that… HOW TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE: Cue up the movie on Netflix (Don’t start it yet) Play the podcast episode Wait for us to count down Press play on Netflix – We’ve adjusted for streaming lag but you might have to tweak it a bit. Pause the podcast or the movie - good luck! Enjoy This episode we feature: ZOMBIE LAKE (1981) This is a horrible movie in every way, but it has A LOT of full on nudity. Part period piece, part love story, and part soft-core snuggling flick (you’ll see what we mean), this film has it all. And it’s still not even cult-good. |
